Nicky worked as a professional dancer and choreographer for 17 years before becoming a Certified International Yoga Teacher with Swami Santhi Santhiprasad in India.
At the age of 28 Nicky discovered yoga initially through injury rehabilitation and prevention and has never looked back since! She went on to train in Kundalini, Ashtanga, Jivamukti and Vinyasa Flow Yoga all over the world. Studying under these inspirational yoga teachers she came to see the enormous power, importance and capacity to heal that yoga provides; not just physically but mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well.
After spending a major portion of her life actively engaged in personal growth work, Nicky returned to London to create classes dedicated to the integration of yoga and dance. And so her own specialised style of Vinyasa Yoga and Ballet Yoga was born!
After becoming pregnant Nicky went on to train as a Pregnancy Yoga Teacher at Triyoga with Nadia Narain and Ayala Gill. She became truly aware how Pregnancy Yoga gives the expectant mother a wonderful connection to self and your baby at this often unsettling time. She feels privileged to be passing on this wonderful practice as an enlightened means for women to allow their bodies to accept and be open to the natural beauty of motherhood without becoming fearful. She is dedicated to support this opening with deep breathing and focused attention.
Her approach is down to earth, friendly and very warm with particularly focus in guiding correct anatomical alignment and self-awareness. She is passionate about playful practise which is exploring the freedom of movement available to us through yoga. She is dedicated to helping her students on their own journey, to bring about transformational discoveries and finding limitless possibilities.
